Thanks for reminding me Carol !

I know that in my profile it used to say I was going to document my friends and my attempt to quit smoking. Well we set a date for the 5 th of September, the Monday after Labour Day and we all quit, twelve of us, just like that, none of us could understand what the big deal was about using all these gums and patches and stuff, just get out and walk a little more, drink a little more water, and you to can quit smoking. Don't let that voice in your head win. We've been smoke free for FIVE months ! You can do it too!

Here are two pieces not being shown at the Rivoli that I like very much, NOTE the first image is no longer available for purchase.
1. Coney Island, 22x28. acrylic/canvas $550.00
(you can click on the images to enlarge.)

Last night I had a hot dream about A. Shay Hahn which included a can of whipped cream, 10' of PVC pipe, 3 rolls of duct tape, a parrot named "Baljinder Singh", two dozen Depends undergarments, 4 tubes of Astroglide, a can of Tab cola, a Poloroid camera, 8 boxes of Trojan Extra Large condoms, a CD of Air Supply's 'Greatest Hits' and 100 lit bacon scented candles to set the mood. When I awoke this morning and realized it was just a dream, I cried.
Ahhh...just a dream.....

The art's pretty good. But the fact that the local art scene has turned to blogs is a pretty shameful thing!?! The whole "I am a blah blah blah and my blah has been blahed for blah blah" is a virtuous endeavor, but the reality that it's just becoming a vehicle for other "bloggers" to basically post ads to their "half priced flights" etc. incrementally strips this all of meaning. I had always hoped artists of this calibre would be above and beyond this web of virtual living, past the "don't forget to check out..." and "look at my art and my cat" aspect of online marketing. You obviously have the ability to make a pretty interesting contribution to the world. And I'm sure Blogspot is glad to have another member to add to its yearly budget based on virtual products, wasted advertising, and statistics that mean little and go nowhere. It's an industry of nothing. You should have an agent; why has this world reduced you to self-marketing on someone else's web site?
