The Ghost of A Field Hand

Here's a better idea of the colour palette I was using when I was painting the series, Powder blue, Cadmium yellow deep, orange, Vandyke Brown. Also I guess I'll mention the heads, I wanted a way to show ghosts that wasn't trite, the same way that the "flag of feathers" women are angels, if I put the kerchief over the head it's a ghost. It does have a similar feel as "the Lovers" by Magritte but hey, what are you gonna do about it.
This is a WIP shot, not the finished piece, but it's close.

The Ghost of A Gentleman Farmer

I'll be posting some paintings today that I starting working on about a year ago, I took a break from the series to do some writing and they waited down in the studio for me to get back to them. I really like the tones and colour work, which will be more apparent in the next two posts. I'm going to include them in the Cameron House show.
